Robbie Williams has talked about love, his comeback, ghosts, go-karting in his back garden and life in Wiltshire.
Stoke-born Robbie, who lives in Compton Bassett, near Calne, after moving over from Los Angeles this year, told: “I’ve been in the countryside and I’ve been in Swindon.”
“I’ve been walking the dogs and I’ve also got a racing track in the garden.
“I’ve got these things called rage buggies. They’re like go-karts for grown-ups.”
“I’ve got my own track.”
Robbie said his country pad, which cost him £7m, was reputed to once belong to Katherine Parr, the last of the six wives of King Henry VIII.
“It’s Katherine’s Parr old house. In fact, we’re actually not in the old house, we’re in her barn,” he said.
“I can’t even believe that a 35-year old me has bought a 500-year old place because as a 26 or 27-year-old there’s no way that I would have chosen to be there or go anywhere near it. But it’s lovely.”
