The 2007 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Awards Banquet will be held on Thursday Night, December 6th at the Wyndham Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL.
“We are excited once again to hold the 2007 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Awards Banquet during the 20th Annual PRI Trade Show to reward our drivers and teams for yet another wonderful season of the best side by side racing in the US. ” states Lucas Oil Series Director Ritchie Lewis.
The top ten in the final 2007 Lucas Oil Late Model Championship Points Standings and the top COMP Cams “Rookie of the Year” drivers will be honored. There will be other special awards presented on this night as well. The invitations are being mailed and must be returned by November 1st confirming your attendance.
The ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM with dinner being served at 7:00 PM. The awards ceremony will follow at approximately 8:00 PM. Any questions regarding the awards ceremony should be directed to Event Coordinator Rick Schwallie at (951) 403-1609.
The final two Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events of the season will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 5th and 6th. On Friday Night the $10,000 to win “Rome Rumble” will be held at Rome International Speedway in Rome, GA, followed by the annual trek to the “Shootout” with every gun a blazing at the Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA paying $15,000 to win.
There is a $5,000 bonus up for grabs on Saturday Night at Dixie. If a former “Shootout” champion wins the race he will pocket the extra bonus making his take for the night $20,000.
