The NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series will attempt to tame “the Taz” as the Series makes its highly-anticipated inaugural venture into the Volunteer State this Saturday, June 9th with a $1,500 to win event at the ultra-fast, mega-banked Tazewell Speedway located in Tazewell, TN. This special event will be the first appearance of the Open Wheel Modified Division at Tazewell Speedway in several years.
A full program of Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and A-Main paying $1,500 to the win, $125 to start at the lightning-fast 1/3 mile high-banked oval located just across the Kentucky/Tennessee border. Pit Gates are slated to open at 4:00 p. m., followed by General Admission Gates at 5:00.
Last Saturday, Don Adams out dueled Joey Kramer and Corey McKenzie in an intense battle to take his first Series’ win of the 2007 season. This marked the second consecutive spring event at 201 Speedway that Adams has claimed the checkers. With the win, Adams joins Dennis Roberson and Kramer as event winners early in the 2007 campaign. Over 60 different drivers have competed with the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series after just three races in 2007.
