Anthony Rosario really hated his car - hated it so much that he set it on fire, Nassau police said.
The 18-year-old Freeport man was arrested Thursday and charged with arson, accused of dousing his 1992 BMW with gasoline and torching it, police said.
Rosario “did intentionally set his car on fire in front of his residence simply because he hated the car,” a police report said. Newsday
Police say a surveillance camera recorded the 18-year-old torching the 1992 BMW on July 10. At the time, it was parked about 2 1/2 feet feet from his apartment building. The Associated Press
Police recovered a large amount of raw gasoline as well as a plastic gas can from the car.
