NASCAR and officials from Thompson International Speedway have taken action against a number of individuals involved in a brawl last Thursday during the racing card at Thompson International Speedway.
In a release from the track it was announced that NASCAR has imposed indefinite suspensions for Mini Stock division drivers Fred Michalski of Dayville, Scott Michalski of Killingly, Trevor Michalski of Killingly and Scott Jassaume of Danielson.
It’s unclear specifically how each was involved in the brawl Thursday. Mini Stock driver Rick Blanchard of Pascoag, R.I. (pictured to the left following the the fight Thursday) alleged that as many as 15 people attacked him in the pit area following the Mini Stock division feature at the track.
Blanchard identified Fred Michalski, Scott Michalski and Trevor Michalski as being part of the group that attacked him.
NASCAR cited “actions detrimental to the stock car racing” as the reason for the suspension.
