Thunder On The Hill Racing Series Continues At The Grandview Speedway



The NAPA Auto Parts & BPG Racing will present the Tuesday night, July 3rd Holiday Special that will showcase the popular 410 Sprints and 358 NASCAR Modifieds as the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series continues at the Grandview Speedway. Two of the most popular divisions of dirt track racing will come together on the same racing program, attracting some of the biggest names on the local racing scene. Fred Rahmer of Salfordsville, PA will be a favorite in the field of 410 sprint car drivers joined by Lance Dewease, Greg Hodnett, Keith Kauffman and Doug Esh. In the 358 Modified field, look for Doug Manmiller, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Mike Gular and MeMe DeSantis along with a guest starter or two including the “Quaker Shaker”, Rick Laubach of Quakertown, PA

BPG Racing and Chad Sinon Motorsports are pleased to continue their support of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series. “Over the years, Chad Sinon and BPG Racing have been good friends to Grandview and the Thunder Series and we are please to have them on-board as a sponsor, ” commented Bob Miller of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series.

The Cindy Rowe Auto Glass 410 Sprint Pennsylvania Speed Week Series invades the “hill” on Tuesday night, July 3rd. Thunder on the Hill has been part of the PA Sprint Speed Week Series for the past seventeen years. The COMDIAL Telephone Communications Time Trials will offer a $200 payoff to the driver who sets fast time. The current COMDIAL quick lap at Grandview is 11.533 set by Sean Michael in the ZEMCO sprint car on May 26, 2002. This long standing track record is soon to be re-established and it just could happen on July 3rd. The 410 Sprints will also compete in qualifying heats and a 35 lap feature event paying $5,000 to the winner.

The NASCAR 358 Modified feature will invite the top twenty-four drivers in points to compete in three heat race events. An additional six provisional spots will be added to the feature event. Three ten lap heats and the 25 lap feature will make-up the program for the 358 Modifieds.

The new Inside/Out Promotion will again take place on Tuesday night, July 3rd. If you would like to watch the warm-ups from the infield, be sure to purchase advance tickets and be in line at the front gate on race night at 4:30 PM. You just might be invited to watch the warm-ups from the fourth turn viewing area. It’s an awesome sight!

The Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Pennsylvania Sprint Speed Week Series will roll into the Grandview Speedway for this Holiday special event on Tuesday night, July 3rd. The top drivers of the well known Pennsylvania Posse will battle for the $5,000 payday in the 35 lap main event as the 358 NASCAR Modifieds battle it out in heats and a 25 lap feature.

Wednesday, July 18th 7:30 PM Super DIRT Series Big Block Modified 100 Lap Traffic JAM (FAN FUN NIGHT. .. Wear a Grandview T-Shirt and get a $2 discount)

Always a fan favorite, the 10th Annual Super DIRT Series Big Block Modified 100 Lap Traffic JAM will take to the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, July 18. A field of at least thirty modifieds will start the 100 lap grind that will pay $6,000 to the winner. The top stars of DIRT to include Brett Hearn, Alan Johnson, Matt Sheppard, Tim Fuller, Billy Decker, Gary Tomkins, Pat Ward and Danny Johnson will challenge of the Southeast locals like Jeff Strunk, Billy Pauch, Jimmy Horton, Frank Cozze, Craig VonDohren, Doug Manmiller and Kenny Brightbill just to name a few. The fans favorite, the Grandview THUNDER 5-25’s features only program will make-up this popular racing program. The 410 Sprints, NASCAR Modifieds, 600 Sprints, Rolling Thunder Legends and the 600 Modifieds will be the five featured classes of this show. Be sure to catch the 5-25’s, the fans just love the feature only format. No Time Trials, No Heat Races, No Consolations, No Qualifying. . .. Just 5 Awesome features in one night of racing. Saturday, October 20 6:00 PM House of Thunder Grandview THUNDER 5-25’s Features Only

The House of Thunder Halloween Party and Grandview THUNDER 5-25’s features only program will close out the 2007 Thunder on the Hill Racing Series. On the five division program will be the URC Spooky Sprints, the NASCAR Nasty Modifieds, the Looney Late Models, Ghostly Legends and the 600 Monster Modifieds. An added attraction to the show will be the 358 Modified Non-Winner’s race and the always enjoyable Garden State Vintage Stock Cars. Come out early for the pre-race fun! Dress up for Halloween and maybe you’ll be in the Victory Lane Photo.
