Sports Car Club of America Solo National Champion Bartek Borowski, of Elmwood Park, Ill., won a Pace American Pursuit trailer valued at over $14,000 today in a drawing from 53 eligible SCCA members at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs Presented by AT&T.
Borowski earned eligibility at this year’s Tire Rack® SCCA Solo National Championships in September by turning his three runs within the least variance on Thursday’s West course. Borowski, along with 27 other Soloists from throughout the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Tour and Championship season, had their names placed in a hopper with 25 SCCA Club Racing drivers who gained eligibility this week during Runoffs qualifying.
When the ping-pong balls were mixed, the first one out had Borowski’s name on it.
“It came as a big surprise, ” Borowski said. “I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to pull it yet, but we’ll figure that out. It’s very exciting and a shock. ”
Borowski can either accept the Pursuit trailer or apply its value toward another product from Pace American.
