MX-5 Cup Returns To Its Birthplace
It’s a homecoming of sorts this weekend for the SCCA Pro Racing SIRIUS Satellite Radio Mazda MX-5 Cup. A year ago, the series made its debut at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The race was an impressive bit of foreshadowing for the rest of the season, as four different drivers exchanged the lead several times over the course of the race before Chip Herr emerged as the very first MX-5 Cup winner. Many of the drivers involved in that first exhilarating race return this weekend for a rematch.
