LEICHT MEXICO CITY NOTES:

Stephen Leicht, driver of the No. 90 CitiFinancial Ford, will make his second career road course start this weekend in the Telcel-Motorola Mexico 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, Mexico. This will be Leicht’s first visit to Mexico City. His previous road course start came at Watkins Glen in 2006.

LEICHT’S THOUGHTS ON MEXICO:

“I haven’t been to Mexico City yet, but all of the other drivers that I have talked to said that it is a great experience. I grew up racing go karts so it’s always fun for me to go road course racing. I only have one start on a road course in the Busch Series so I am hoping that all of the years I spent in go karts will pay off. It seems that at a road course race, if you can stay out of trouble, manage a good pit strategy and not kill your brakes, you can come out with a solid finish. ”

CHASSIS INFORMATION:

The CitiFinancial team is taking chassis No. B3 to Mexico City. This is the same car that road course ace, Mark Goossens finished 10th in last year at Autodromo.

RYR MEXICO CITY RESULTS

In two starts at Autofromo Hermanos Rodriguez in the NASCAR Busch Series, Robert Yates Racing has posted an 18th-place finish in 2005 followed by a 10th place finish in 2006.

DID YOU KNOW:

Leicht does not consider himself to be a superstitious driver, however he does everything exactly the same when he gets into the CitiFinancial Ford. Left foot in first, left earplug in first and left glove on first.
