NASCAR Busch Series Rookie, Brad Keselowski, met his performance expectations this weekend in the Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway. Running the No. 23 MACtac® Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in 15th place down the final stretch, Keselowski battled hard for 191 laps.
“Brad ran a great race – he ran a smart race, ” said Crew Chief Ronnie Griffin. “The car was decent, we made some adjustments and it was running good. Unfortunately, with only nine laps remaining, the track bar gave out, leaving us with a solid 24th place finish. ”
Coming off a few mechanical errors in the last two NASCAR Busch Series races at Darlington Raceway and Lowe’s Motor Speedway, the successful run at Dover International Speedway proved the No. 23 MACtac team is a solid racing team to keep an eye on.
“The speed and teamwork are both definitely there, it just seems we can’t catch a break right now, ” Keselowski said. “Although it’s frustrating considering we were running 15th, I’m happy to be running fast and to get a nice finish. It’s also nice to know that I wasn’t the only one with a good finish, with the bright, afternoon sunlight, the MACtac media on our car gave the car’s graphics a great finish as well. ”
The No. 23 MACtac Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS is wrapped in MACtac’s IMAGin® B-free JT5529BFD high performance vinyl and finished in the company’s Permacolor® RAYZor™ cast vinyl overlaminate, which at 1.5-mils is the thinnest available.
Beginning next weekend at Nashville Superspeedway, Steve Platenberger, NASCAR crew veteran, will take over the role of crew chief for the No. 23 MACtac Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS team – a move that is projected to add to the team’s current success.
