Coming off a successful test in preparation for his NASCAR Busch Series debut next month in Mexico, rookie driver Alex Garcia will head south this weekend to participate in the first annual Southwest Florida Mini Grand Prix NASCAR race at Sunsplash Family Water Park in Cape Coral, Florida.
Garcia will be a guest of honor at the event, getting behind the wheel of the Screenprint Plus-Steve Westphal’s Auto Showcase official pace car. Garcia, 29, will also be on hand during the event to meet participants and attendees, sign autographs and take pictures.
“I’m very excited about heading to Florida this weekend to participate in an event that not only gives back to the community, but to the leaders of the future, †said Garcia. “I’m honored that the Cape Coral Youth Crime Intervention Program asked me to be a part of their function, it’s going to be a great time. â€
