Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 60 World Financial Group Ford, will make his 100th Busch Series start this weekend at “The Monster Mile” in Dover, Delaware. Edwards made his Busch debut at Gateway International Raceway, just miles from his hometown of Columbia, Missouri in July 2002 – starting that race 36th and finishing 38th. Since that day, Edwards has earned 13 career victories, 44 top-five and 64 top-10 finishes. Edwards became the second-fastest Busch Series driver to surpass $1 million in winnings in a season after the California race September 1, 2007. Only Martin Truex, Jr. had accomplished this feat first in 2005. Edwards was also awarded the coveted Busch Series Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year award in 2005.

“I’m really looking forward to going back to Dover International Speedway, ” said Edwards. “We had a great win there earlier this year and racing on the “Monster Mile” is just awesome. We’ve had a lot of success on concrete this year and we will do everything possible to put the World Financial Group Ford back in victory lane. ”

“It’s a great honor to compete in both of NASCAR’s top series and it’s hard to believe that I have hit this milestone in both the Nextel Cup and Busch Series this year, ” stated Edwards. “I truly love racing and it’s been great to me. I can’t thank Jack Roush, my teams and my sponsors enough for making this dream come true. Now it’s up to me to put on a good show for the fans and celebrate my 100th start. ”
