NASCAR Busch Series: Michel Jourdain Roush Fenway Racing

Michel Jourdain, Jr. will return to the NASCAR Busch Series this weekend in Montreal to drive the No. 17 Dish Network Ford Fusion. Jourdain is no stranger to the road course in Montreal having competed there three times in the Champ Car Series. Of those three starts at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve Jourdain has one win and two sixth-place finishes. His win came in 2003 where he qualified fourth and went on to win the 75-lap Champ Car event.

Jourdain last competed in the Busch series for Roush Fenway Racing in Mexico with the No. 17 Dish Network team where he qualified 11th and finished 25th after getting caught up in a late-race incident. Since Jourdain’s last outing in Mexico City he has been competing overseas in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) with SEAT.

“I really like racing at Montreal, “ said Jourdain. “As a driver you have to be really aggressive on the brakes to get a good lap, but at the same time you must take care of them to finish the race. You can pick up a lot of time in the chicanes by being very aggressive. I think the trickiest turn is the hairpin because there is a very long straightaway after it and there is a lot of time to be gained there. I’ve been racing overseas this summer in the WTCC with SEAT and have had fun while learning a lot, but I’m excited to be back in the No. 17 Dish Network Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway Racing. “
