I-70 Speedway Dirt Track Officials Adjusts Rules For IMCA Modifieds And IMCA Stock Cars

With cooperation from IMCA, I-70 Speedway Dirt Track officials will make the following adjustments in the rules for the IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars, thru the conclusion of the 2007 race season..

In the IMCA Stock Car division; the following exceptions will be made in regards to carburetors.

In addition to the published IMCA Stock Car carburetor rules, I-70 Speedway will also allow the OEM GM Rochester two barrel carburetor (only alterations allowed are booster I. D. may be machined to. 250 inch and venturi I. D. machined to 1.375 inch); Unaltered 350 c. f.m. Holley - part no. 0-7448; Unaltered 500 c. f.m. Holley - part no. 0-4412 (both may be modified to Holley HP Dorton specs only. ) Float bowl must face forward. Any adapter, maximum one inch thick.

In the IMCA Modified division; the following exceptions will be made in regards to engine rules.

In addition to the published IMCA Modified engine rules, I-70 Speedway will allow the following exceptions. Any roller configuration, cam and/or rockers will be allowed, with the addition of 50 lbs, mounted in front of the motor plate. Engines with accessories driven off the back of the engine will also be allowed, by adding another 50 lbs. of weight to the car. i.e. an engine with any roller component and any accessory driven off the back of the engine must have an additional 50 lbs. of weight mounted in front of the motor plate plus, another 50 lbs of weight added to the car else ware. This makes the minimum weight of the car, with the driver, after the race, 2,550 pounds.

As stated in the IMCA rules; No weights and/or loose objects in driver compartment or outside the body. Weights must be securely mounted to the frame or roll cage and painted white with the car number on it. All weights must be attached with at least two. 5 inch bolts. No titanium, magnesium or carbon fiber products. No gun-drilled, tubular, hollow bolts or studs. Use of steel fasteners for mounting weight only.

These exceptions are the only exceptions to the published IMCA rules and are very specific. All other IMCA rules, including all claim rules, will apply in all IMCA classes competing at I-70 Speedway. These exceptions will apply starting with the race event on June 16, 2007. These rule exceptions will apply to the rules only at I-70 Speedway and will only apply thru the conclusion of the 2007 race season.
