Red Rooster Racing, which had made a quiet foray into the world of motor sports by sponsoring Vikram Mathias in the Indian National Rally Championship, has announced its backing to a number of racing riders and drivers for the forthcoming season.

The beneficiaries for this year are bicycle marathon rider Samim Rizvi who has run all the way from Bangalore to Mumbai and cycled back from there.

The company will sponsor his participation in the Paris-Brest-Paris and Montreal-Boston-Montreal cycle races. Both the events cover a distance of 1200km and the cyclists are expected to finish the event in 90 hours.

Red Rooster will also sponsor debutant in the Group N + class Amitrajit Ghosh, who won the 1400 class last year, and co-driver Ashwin Naik in the forthcoming Indian National Rally Championship, apart from Mathias and his navigator P.V. Srinivas Murthy.

“This is an initiative that will harness potential from one of the largest sources of talent in the world.
