Sports Car Club of America, Inc. announced today that Terry Ozment has been promoted to Vice President, Club Racing.
Ozment joined the SCCA staff in September 2004 as its Director of Club Racing. She came to the company after 30 years in sales and marketing for AT&T.
“Since coming on board, Terry has done an outstanding job with the Club Racing program, ” SCCA President and CEO Jim Julow said. “She has been integral in growing new programs, including Time Trials and PDXs, and did a great job leading her staff through the transition of venues for the Club’s most visible event—the Runoffs®. Terry is a true asset for the entire organization. ”
Ozment has been an active SCCA member since 1981, holding licenses in Flagging & Communications, Race Control, Registration and Timing & Scoring. A member of the Race Stewards program for 10 years, she previously served as the Chief Steward for the June Sprints®, traditionally the largest SCCA Club Racing National event. A former member of the Chicago Region and Land O’ Lakes Region Boards, Ozment has also served as the Regional Executive of the Chicago Region, as well as providing key support in that region’s sponsorship and marketing efforts.
A graduate of Saint Cloud State University, Saint Cloud, Minn., Ozment was a career AT&T employee from her high school days until moving to Topeka, Kan. for the Club Racing Director position.
