Steve Shaver of Steve Shaver Motorsports, Cosgrove Racing and Ludicrous Hardcore Energy Drinks (MixMaster Beverage Company) announced today that they have mutually agreed to terminate their contract. Steve Shaver Motorsports and Cosgrove Racing will no longer be affiliated in any way with Dave Eaton, MixMaster Beverage, Inc. and Ludicrous Hardcore Energy Drink. Steve will continue to seek for new sponsors for the remaining 2007 racing season.
Steve competed Saturday June 23rd at KC Raceway in Ohio in a 50-lap feature event that paid$5,000 to the winner and was sanctioned by the IRS Series. Steve would win the consolation race to earn a spot in the 24 car field for the feature. Steve and the team experimented with some new setups but could only muster a 16th place finish in the final run down. “We had a good car in hot laps but it started misting rain during my qualifying lap that caused us to qualify in the back and we played catch up the rest of the night. We tried a few new things in the feature since we were starting so far back. We’re looking forward to this weekend and next weeks schedule”, stated Steve.
Steve and the team will be traveling this Friday and Saturday and competing in the WoO sanctioned $30,000 to win event at Lernerville Speedway in Lernerville, PA. Then on Sunday the team will travel to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, OH for a 50-lap $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature event. On Monday July 2nd Steve will travel to Midway Speedway in Crooksville, OH for a UMP Summernationals 50-lap $10,000 to win feature event. Tuesday July 3rd Shaver will be at Muskingum County Speedway for another Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series 50-lap $10,000 to win sanctioned event.
Steve Shaver and ASI Racewear have just released a new T-Shirt design for 2007. Race fans wanting to purchase Steve’s new T-shirt can purchase them on the ASI Racewear merchandise trailer or at Steve’s hauler in the pits at the events he competes in.
