Volkswagen of America, Inc., is gearing up to sponsor Waterfestâ 13, North America’s largest annual Volkswagen Car Show and Motorsport event. More than 20,000 Volkswagen enthusiasts, including 2,500 registered participants, will trek to Englishtown, New Jersey’s Raceway Park on July 21 and 22 to compete in an array of events and take part in numerous Volkswagen promotions.
Waterfest activities will begin at noon on Saturday, July 21 and continue until 5 p. m. on Sunday, July 22. Several competitions will be held to reward participants for the amplitude of the audio system, their ability to perform tire burnouts, their car’s speed on the quarter-mile track and additional activities.
As part of the annual event, Volkswagen will be on hand to indulge its enthusiasts with giveaways, demonstrations and special guests. Attendees will be given the chance to take the GLI, GTI or Jetta TDI, to name a few, on a test track joyride; and visit the “V-dub Garage”, featuring custom t-shirt screen printing, custom dog tags and the “I Know VW” Quiz Show. The quiz show is a Jeopardy-style competition for self-proclaimed Volkswagen experts. The winner receives a roof rack and a lifestyle attachment of their choice, courtesy of Volkswagen Parts and Accessories.

Volkswagen merchandise will be available at Waterfest, including t-shirts, “Fast juniors” and commemorative key chains, which are available exclusively at Volkswagen-sponsored events. Also, product specialists will be present to answer questions about all Volkswagen models.
