On Thursday, Schatz will be in Fargo participating in a news conference at Red River Valley Speedway that will include 150 grade school children from Westside Elementary in the audience.
“Safety is one of the most important things in our community and the state of North Dakota, ” said Robyn Litke, Coordinator of Safe Communities Coalition of the Red River Valley. “It’s important to make our community as safe as we can. When you can get a celebrity to be part of the solution that has a huge impact. We hope to get the message out to as many people as possible during the month of May before the heavy vacation and travel seasons begin. “
Schatz will also be on location at the Fastlane Car Wash (4600 9th Ave. SW, Fargo) from 4 - 6 p. m. signing pledge cards.
The pledge cards also include a 2007 racing schedule for Schatz. The message will reach a broader audience across the country as the pledge cards will be distributed everywhere the ParkerStore Racing team competes this season. Fans can stop by the Schatz merchandise trailer at any race and ask for a pledge card.
