Secured his first victory in the IZOD IndyCar Series
“Today’s contact with (Sebastien) Bourdais was an easy one to be avoided. It was my fault completely, I just had no idea he was on my corner. But at the same time, he does have breaks and I don’t know what he was trying to accomplish. I clearly had the right away and would have beaten him at the line. It’s just unfortunate all around. The Venom car was coming on and we were the only car coming out on reds. I think we had a chance that stint. We tried to give it a go but the steering seized up and we had to call it a day.”
RYAN HUNTER-REAY, #28 TEAM DHL/SUN DROP CITRUS SODA CAR
Ended the race in 23rd place, due to a gearbox issue
“We had a problem with the gear selector near the end of the race - basically we couldn’t shift. It’s frustrating because the DHL/Sun Drop car was running strong and challenging for the lead. I really think we could have gotten (Ryan) Briscoe once his tires started falling off. I was hoping for a second win here.”

“I think we had a pretty solid day. We didn’t make any mistakes and raced clean. We made some passes out on the track, the guys did a good job in the pits, and a few on-track incidents worked in our favor. We came away with a pretty good day. I think this is a start of a good thing for the GoDaddy.com car.”
