Andretti Green Racing announced today it has reached an agreement with Meijer to extend its sponsorship of the Indianapolis-based race team.
Meijer has been affiliated with Andretti Green since the start of the 2007 IndyCar Series season and currently serves as a primary sponsor of Marco Andretti’s #26 car at a number of races, including IndyCar events at Mid-Ohio, Kentucky and Chicagoland. Meijer maintains a major associate presence with Andretti at all other events including Sunday’s running of the Indy 500.
Meijer is a Grand Rapids, Michigan, based retailer that operates 189 supercenters throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky.
Andretti and his Andretti Green IndyCar Series teammates, Tony Kanaan, Hideki Mutoh and Danica Patrick, will be appearing tonight at 7 p.m. at the Meijer store located at 150 South Marlin Drive in Greenwood, Ind., in support of the continuing tie between Meijer and Andretti Green.
