Pacific Coast Motorsports wrote a new chapter in their history books this weekend with their very successful Champ Car debut this weekend at the Vegas Grand Prix. The team began the weekend with the goal of both cars finishing, but drivers Alex Figge and Ryan Dalziel have raised the bar for PCM, Figge finished eighth in his very first Champ Car race while Dalziel brought his car home in 11th despite a mid-race pause for repair.

Alex on the race:

I feel great and am happy to have my first race under my belt. It was an interesting way to get into the top-ten but Ill take it and I was glad to be there at the end and get the points. I lost some gears about half way through the race and I think I was in every run-off at some point. You start to get used to the problem where you can almost predict when it is going to happen and you just run with it but it sure makes it tough to get into a rhythm. My goal was to finish my first Champ Car race and I did that, to finish eighth in the Imperial Capital Bank car was great and I am happy this one is in the books and we can continue our progress. This was a terrific event, certainly a weekend I will never forget!
