Franchitti to Start Seventh in the Indy Japan 300



Dario Franchitti drove the #27 Canadian Club car to a seventh place starting position in the Indy Japan 300. Franchitti posted a best-lap speed of 203.723 miles per hour (26.8600 seconds) on his first qualifying lap.

The third race of the IndyCar Series season will take place Saturday, April 21, at Twin Ring Motegi. The Indy Japan 300 can be seen live on indycar.com at 11:30 p. m. (EST), Friday, April 20, or on ESPN on a tape-delay basis at 3 p. m. (EST) on Saturday, April 21. The race may also be heard live on XM Satellite Radio on XM channel 145, the exclusive home of the IndyCar Series.
