SimCraft Corporation recently announced an endorsement deal with IndyCar and Indy 500 driver and team owner Sarah Fisher to launch its series of racing simulators at the 2009 International CES®, Jan. 8-11, 2009, in Las Vegas.

Fisher is scheduled to appear at the SimCraft booth from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 8, 2009, the first day of the world’s largest consumer electronics tradeshow. Fisher is the fastest female to ever qualify for the Indianapolis 500 and became the first woman in North American motorsports history to win the pole position for a major-league, open-wheel race.

“Sarah’s impact on racing is undeniable. We plan to have the same explosive effect in the sim world that she has experienced in the IndyCar arena,” says SimCraft President T. Christopher Ciesielka.

SimCraft’s car racing simulators include the APEX SC830 and the APEX SC320, patent-pending military- grade simulators that bring the sense of touch to the home market. The APEX SC830 was developed for the training of professional racers (and fanatics of SimRacing) and offers three degrees of freedom (roll 40º / pitch 25º / yaw 40º). The APEX SC320 was designed for the hardcore gamer and offers two degrees of freedom (roll 20º / pitch 20º). Two models of the APEX SC830 will be displayed at the 2009 CES. SimCraft’s booth is located at LVCC, South Hall 2, Booth #25311 in the Electronic Gaming section.

“The APEX SC830 is possibly the best real-life simulator I’ve ever experienced,” said Fisher, owner/driver at Sarah Fisher Racing. “As far as the feedback the driver receives from the device, it’s very similar to being in an actual racecar. To be honest, the first time I used it, I was speechless. I’m very impressed with the capabilities and I will definitely be spending more time on the APEX as I prepare to run the 2009 IndyCar Series circuit.”

About SimCraft Corporation
SimCraft’s roots trace back to the late William Dexter MacDonald, a retired electrical engineer, who designed a new method of simulating the motion of aircraft in 1998. Though MacDonald never saw his vision come to complete fruition, his son Sean continued the mission and expanded the technology into motorsports simulation. As several generations of prototyping ensued, so did the young company’s needs for planning in manufacturing and business development. SimCraft partnered with XenGenn, LLC, to catalyze these efforts and help refine the new technology and expand its applications. The now patent-pending simulation technology appeals to drivers and pilots alike because of its high-fidelity performance and military-grade quality. From training applications to pure entertainment, the SimCraft product lineup has broad appeal. SimCraft is a member company of the Advanced Technology Development Center and has offices in Atlanta, Ga., and Breinigsville, Pa.
