IndyCar Series star Danica Patrick will run the 47th annual Rolex 24 at Daytona later this month.
Patrick, the first woman to win an IndyCar Series race—last season in Motegi, Japan—will team with sports car veterans Rob Finlay and Andy Wallace, and NASCAR’s Casey Mears to drive the No. 2 Pontiac-Crawford Daytona Prototype for Childress-Howard Racing.

Patrick competed in the Rolex 24 in 2006, teaming with former NASCAR champion Rusty Wallace, Allan McNish and Jan Lammers in the No. 2 Howard-Boss Pontiac-Crawford. The team finished 50th after a mechanical breakdown.
“I’m just really grateful to come back to this team again and run,” said Patrick, who races for Andretti-Green Racing in the IndyCar Series. “I had such a good experience (in 2006), not only with the car and the fun, but with the people. To be with a group of drivers like this, we have a great chance at winning this race.”
