Some of the world’s top racers roll into town for Saturday’s Firestone 200, amid reports that this 8th annual visit will be the last.
“I certainly hope not,” said Scott Dixon, two-time defending race champion and current IndyCar Series points leader. “Nashville has been great for our series, and from a personal standpoint I love racing at this track. It would be a shame to stop racing here.”
IRL officials have neither confirmed nor denied reports that Nashville and Homestead/Miami will be dropped from the schedule next year in favor of more road-course races.
