Panther Racing drivers Vitor Meira and Kosuke Matsuura completed their best day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday, as both drivers finished inside the top nine on the final speed chart. After Matsuura jumped up to speed yesterday – finishing tenth on the chart – Meira found some much needed speed late during Thursday’s practice session and finished eighth, with a top lap of 225.441 mph, 39.9217 seconds.
Matsuura, who finished ninth on the final chart, posted a quick lap of 225.350 mph, 39.9378 seconds. The team will spend Fast Friday attempting to perfect its setup in preparations for Saturday’s Pole Day qualifications.
