Panther Racing drivers Vitor Meira and Kosuke Matsuura completed their first full day of practice Tuesday in preparation for the 91st Running of the Indianapolis 500.
Meira completed the second-most laps of any driver on the course Tuesday, as his team wants to get as much data as possible before Pole Day qualifications on Saturday when the top eleven spots are available for the Indy 500.
The No. 55 Panasonic Panther team encountered a few minor problems during the day, but were able to get Kosuke some valuable track time at the end of the day. Matsuura, the 2004 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year, is preparing to make his first start at Indianapolis for Super Aguri Panther Racing.
