Mario Dominguez, #96 Visit Mexico City/PCM/Honda/Dallara/Firestone Mario on Qualifying: “It feels great to be back in Edmonton and on a track I am familiar with. The fan turn-out is terrific, as always in Canada. It’s special for us to run around this place in front of such an enthusiastic crowd. I love this track; it is tough and sometimes unforgiving as several people found out there today. But, when you turn in a good lap, it is very rewarding. I thought our previous experience would help us here, but we are really struggling with the set-up here. I am a little surprised and I am sure we are going to come up with something to help us out here tomorrow.”
Carl Skerlong, #14 King Taco/Mazda/Swift/Cooper Tires Carl on qualifying: “In today’s qualifying session, we used a different tire strategy than the other teams. As a result, we ended up finishing P3. We had the car to finish P1, but I am still happy to be starting on the second row for the first of two races this weekend. I am looking forward to tomorrow’s race as well as a second chance at pole in the second qualifying session. Thanks to the PCM crew for a great day.”
Frankie Muniz #41 PCM/Mazda/Swift/Cooper Tires Frankie on qualifying: “I felt good in this morning’s practice. I was relaxed and handled the car really well, finishing P9. I pushed really hard in this afternoon’s qualifying session and overdrove the car when I should have been relaxing, but it was hard for me to do that when I am trying so hard. I ended up making more mistakes in qualifying, and I’m disappointed after a good run in this morning’s practice, but at the same time I feel really good starting P14 because it’s my best start in my Atlantic career so far.”
