With one race left in the 2008 IndyCar Series Season, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing drivers Buddy Rice and Milka Duno look to end their seasons with solid finishes this weekend at the Chicagoland Speedway.
Both drivers have experience on the 1.5-mile tri-oval with Rice making his sixth start and Duno her second.
Rice’s best finish at the track is ninth, which he achieved in 2002, for Cheever Racing, and again in 2007 with Dreyer & Reinbold. His best starting position was second, which he also earned in 2002 for Cheever and in 2005 with Rahal Letterman Racing.
So far this year, his best finish is fourth, which he earned at Watkins Glen, and he’s accumulated a total of six top-ten finishes (Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Texas, Watkins Glen, Nashville, Kentucky).
This weekend, he will be piloting a new livery — the #15 Dad’s Root Beer/Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Honda.
Duno’s first race at the track, driving for SAMAX Motorsport in 2007, saw her qualify 22nd and finish 15th.
So far, her best finish in 2008 in the #23 CITGO/Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Honda is 16th, which she earned back at the Kansas Speedway. She looks to improve upon her season and career best finishes this weekend.
