IRL: Scott Dixon Wins Second IRL Race In A Row at Nashville Superspeedway TCG Racing

In winning his second race in a row, Scott Dixon made inroads on Franchitti’s points advantage (slicing the deficit from 47 to 34 with six events remaining). Immediately ahead is the inaugural event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Dixon, the pole sitter in the No. 9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Dallara/Honda/Firestone, held off Franchitti and his Andretti Green Racing teammate, Danica Patrick, after a Lap 195 restart to beat Franchitti by 2.2400 seconds in the race postponed by 17 hours because of rain.

Dixon became the first repeat winner in seven races at Nashville Superspeedway, and proudly displayed the hand-painted Gibson guitar that is awarded to the winner.
