MARCO ANDRETTI, #26 TEAM VENOM ENERGY DRINK CAR (ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT)
Ended the session in P18
“We have some work to do with the Venom car before we’re where we want and need to be for the weekend. I think we have some positive feedback from the session today and from the test here a week ago. We’ll make some changes tonight and keep chipping away at it.”
ADAM CARROLL, #27 TEAM AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLERS CAR ( AFS RACING/ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT)
Finished the first practice in P17
“It was good to get back out there. We had a few things to test which went well, and I thought I got a good read on them. We got some good data to go back and look over. We did put a new set of tires on near the end but didn’t get too many laps in due to traffic, and ended up having a spin. I’m looking forward to going back out tomorrow and going quick.”
RYAN HUNTER-REAY, #37 TEAM IZOD CAR (ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT)
Finished in P4
“I think the Team IZOD car was pretty good overall. Towards the end of the session, we really tried some things to see if it was what we needed and it wasn’t. Our fast time stuck from probably halfway through the session, so I think the car is pretty good. We just have to make some tweaks to it and then we’ll see.”
TONY KANAAN, #11 TEAM 7-ELEVEN CAR (ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT)
Finished the session in P9
“It was a good session. We had the Team 7-Eleven car up in the top five for a while during the session, which was good to see. We just have some more work to do for tomorrow and then we’ll see what we can do.”
DANICA PATRICK, #7 TEAM GoDaddy.com CAR (ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT)
Ended the first practice session in P19
“The practice session didn’t go the way I planned. We are going to look at the setup and see if there is anything we can do to get the GoDaddy car dialed in better. This isn’t the way I wanted to start my weekend here in Mid-Ohio.”
