“I’ve never struggled like this before. It’s a hard championship, and the car isn’t like anything I’m used to driving. At least we finished the race and got more miles under our belt. You get difficult weekends like this sometimes. We’ll come back stronger, and hopefully we’ll get another chance to get out there and prove what we can do. Thanks to everyone for their help.”

“Helio just didn’t have any right to put his car there. There was no room. I was racing Briscoe and Helio knew that putting his nose there was going to create a contact situation. Unfortunately, it hurt us. We had a great car today - probably one of the best out there. “The IZOD guys did an excellent job of fixing a bent suspension under yellow there and getting us back out there without losing a lap. But, we still had big suspension problems for the rest of the race. The car was pretty diabolical, but we were able to hang on for a top 10, which is a miracle, considering.”

“When you start back there, you’re just gambling. We tried and it just didn’t work.
“It was an interesting weekend. I think it’s always best to try to take the positive away from things. We have a new group of people working together and it’s going to take a little bit. It’s an investment for the future. We have a lot of work to do and it would be easy to complain, but that isn’t what we’re going to do. We need to acknowledge where we’re at, and instead of complaining, we need go to the shop, get together and work on it. That’s the only way we’re going to improve. I’ve never seen anybody complain and make it better. It has to be constructive. We need to keep our heads up. We’ve proven as a team we can win. When you’re trying to go to the next level like we are, you’re going to have some stellar weekends and you’re going to have some when you struggle. As long as we keep trying, that is all we need.”

“It was definitely a frustrating weekend for the GoDaddy.com car. We made the most of the day but unfortunately we came up short. Hopefully our hard work will show in Sonoma.”
