Tony Kanaan: “I’m Not on The Pole so I’m Not Very Happy”

Tony Kanaan, driver of the #11 Team 7-Eleven car, will start from the inside of Row 2 for Sunday’s running of the ABC Supply Co. /A. J. Foyt 225 from The Milwaukee Mile. Kanaan recorded a best-lap speed of 169.158 miles per hour (21.6011 seconds) during his qualifying attempt.

The defending champion of the Milwaukee event, Kanaan has three-consecutive top-four finishes at the historic track.

ABC Sports will provide live coverage of the race beginning at 4 p. m. (EDT). The race may also be heard live on XM Satellite Radio, XM channel 145, the official home of the IndyCar Series.

Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone:

“I’m not on the pole so I’m not very happy. We came here expecting to start on the pole and I’m not at all happy with our qualifying result. Third is not bad but when you expect to start first, you are disappointed with anything but the pole. The 7-Eleven car is a very good race car so hopefully we’ll be better tomorrow when it counts. ”
