Team USA ran strong to the finish, working its way back to 12th place, after having to start last, out of 30, after early mechanical problems. In the end the team was running lap times near the leaders having kept their kart in excellent running condition throughout the competition. When all was settled Team USA would be the highest finishing international team at the 24 Hours of Batalha. Drivers: Kevin Bligan, Kyle Bonsignore, Dan Burke, Jerry Nadeau, Johan Schwartz, and Zack Skolnick.
Team USA qualified 10th, the highest ever, but some wrecks in the beginning of the race set the team back into last place, Team USA made a come back and ran as high as 1st in class and 3rd overall. At the end of the race Team USA was running in 2nd place, leading by less than 6 seconds.. 4th place kart was 8 laps behind, so the team took the chance and tried to extend the fuel in the tank. It almost worked, with only 4 minutes remaining in race, Team USA ran out of gas. It was an exciting finish with Team USA placing 3rd in class and 6th overall. The team USA drivers was: Sy Aryeh, Mike Circo, Ari Gatoff, Yury Lyalko, Jim Machul, and Johan Schwartz.
