At the age of 11, Jake Walker has already won more than 30 trophies competing on the UK’s motor-racing circuits and has set his sights on one day spraying the winner’s champagne at the top of a Formula One podium.
Jake’s father, Scott, believes his son has the natural talent and determination it takes to be among the best drivers in the world.
Scott, from Pemberton, said: “Out on the track Jake has grown in confidence and continues to get better and better.
“Jake’s grandfather, Neil Walker, worked with the BRM Formula One racing team for 20 years, and spent two years as team manager.
“I suppose you could say that Jake has racing in his blood.”
Scott runs the SAS Motorsport racing team – a cadet karting team for youngsters in the North West.
