17-year-old karting sensation Scott Hutchins has left the best seniors trailing in his wake on the Rissington Club circuit with record-breaking performances that he hopes will lead to a career in motor sport.
While following in the footsteps of former karting champion Jenson Button and making the transition to the top in motor racing is perhaps out of reach for Hutchins, he is striving to earn a living from motor sport in the future.
“One of my main targets though is to win the Rotax Senior Max Championship again and if I can win that back to back then it could be a stepping stone to better things,” said Hutchins. “I had two top-ten finishes as a junior in the Super One Series and I would love to move into Formula Renault, but it all depends on sponsorship.”
Hutchins certainly raised his profile by competing alongside some of motor sports world stars at the Ultimate Celebrity Karting Challenge in January - and now begins the long road to try and emulate them.
