The racing season kicks into top gear this coming weekend (11-13) with the opening round of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship at Goodwood Kartways and 16 year old Mike Vincec will be on hand to defend his ICC Championship. A double-champion in the series in 2006 (ICC and F1-K Sr. ), Mike just missed the Rotax Sr. championship for the hat trick and is hoping for a strong performance to kick off the season.
Immediately following the race on Sunday, the Cameron Motorsports driver and the team will be heading to Newcastle Motorsports Park in Indiana for round two of the Snap On Stars of Karting presented by Indy Racing League series. Mike had a strong run in the opening Race of The Americas round and as the series’ 2006 Rookie of The Year, his focus is to fight for the championship in 2007. His performance in the opening round has also catapulted Mike into the top five of the Ekartingnews driver rankings to start the season, moving up eight positions.
