Carlisle’s Carl Billet became the first repeat Late Model winner in fifteen races this season at the Susueqhenna Speedway Park on Saturday night. The win also marked Billet’s 50th career win milestone at the York County oval. Billet is the all-time feature win leader at SSP at 50 leading Johnny Mackison Sr. (35), Bobby Hersh and Stevie Smith (both at 33).
Racing action continues at the SSP Outback Track on Friday night, September 4 at 7:30 p.m. featuring quarter midget, kart and Speedcar racing action. This will be the final race of the Summer Shoot-Out Series which was postponed from Friday, August 28.
Then on Saturday night, September 5 at 6:00 p.m. (note new starting time) the Big Track will feature the 9th Annual York County Nationals featuring a 32-lap Late Model championship. The Street Stocks and Xtreme Stocks will each compete in 25-lap feature events as well. The Legends Cars will also join the program.
