Kyle Busch: “It’s just awesome coming down here - everybody loves doing it and wants to win it. Only one of us guys gets to leave with the trophy, and I’m glad it’s us. The consideration is there, but still, it’s a race by race deal. We’ll make a decision here shortly. I love winning. I’ll run as long as I can win. That doesn’t bother me a bit.”
Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Junior Nation is still waiting for a victory, as Earnhardt’s winless streak is now at two years and counting. Earnhardt has never won at Lowe’s, but he does have four top-five finishes. Since joining Hendrick this season, Earnhardt’s Chevrolet has been competitive in nearly every race, and most agree that it’s a matter of time until Junior finally closes the deal.
Tony Stewart: The last victory for “Smoke” came at Watkins Glen, N.Y., in August, but the Gibbs driver also has kept his Toyota Camry in the hunt much of this season. The two-time Cup champion has four top-five finishes this year. And at Lowe’s, he has one victory—in 2003—and six top-fives overall.
Kevin Harvick: It’s been 15 months since Harvick won a race—his last win was the Daytona 500 in 2007—but the Bakersfield native keeps digging and is ninth in the Cup standings. Harvick, who drives a Chevy for Richard Childress Racing, has never won at Lowe’s, where he has three top-10 finishes.
Jeff Gordon: The four-time title Cup winner has five victories at Lowe’s, including the fall race last October. But that also was the Hendrick driver’s last victory.
