During the next seven days Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway will host two very special events as this Saturday April 28th the ASCS Mid-Atlantic Tour will make its inaugural visit and then five days later, on Thursday May 3rd, the Advance Auto Parts Super Dirtcar Series visits for the very first time.
This Saturday’s event will give the ASCS Southern and Mid-Atlantic 360 sprint car contenders a sneak preview of the semi-banked ½-mile Virginia Motor Speedway clay oval, which will host the O’Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series with a possible $8,500-to-win East Coast Nationals on May 25 and 26. A stout field of cars is expected with Kenny Adams, a former 360 sprint car winner at the speedway, expected to kick off his pursuit of the 2007 American Sprint Car Series Southern Tour championship.
