A1GP: A1 Team Pakistan Presents New Look For New Season A1GP

A1 Team Pakistan revealed a new livery for the forthcoming season of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport in Zandvoort, Netherlands today. The Dutch city is hosting the opening round of the new season and the Pakistan team, with driver Adam Khan, took the opportunity to unveil its new look in a pageant of colour and celebration.

The team has retained the distinctive dark green paint scheme on the Pakistan car, embellished with the national flag crescent and star to clearly distinguish the nation from the other 21 countries competing in the A1GP Series. Adam Khan returns to the team for the season, having taken a sabbatical to complete his university studies. He has already shown impressive form in pre-season testing and is pleased to be back representing his country.

He says, “Unveiling the new team today is an important occasion. It reflects our aim for the new season as we set out to heighten the awareness of the team, both with our new visual identity and our aims of being a highly competitive team which will quickly be challenging for top ten finishes. The new livery pays homage to the national flag and we hope that it will be instantly recognisable to the people of the country when they are watching at the races and on television, in Pakistan and across the globe. “

Khan continues, “We have ambitions to be a high profile team this season, and challenging for a strong finish in the World Cup of Motorsport. We don’t underestimate the competition though. The field is full of experienced drivers, many of whom have raced regularly in the Series for the last two seasons. But we have the determination and commitment to be rivalling them and racing hard at every event. I’m certainly looking forward to the season ahead. “

Arif Husain, A1 Team Pakistan Seat Holder, adds, “Our goal is to build the support for the team through our racing programme in the A1GP Series, but over the course of the next few months we will be adding new dimensions to our programme and announcing exciting plans for the year ahead. “

“We are delighted to present a new look with a strengthened engineering and marketing team today. A1 Team Pakistan is very proud to be carrying the pride of the nation and we recognise not only the honour of flying the national flag, but the duty that comes with this. We take this responsibility very seriously and undertake to do the best we can for our country. “

The A1GP World Cup of Motorsport is a truly global championship, travelling to ten countries through the winter months. The Series pits nation against nation with identical cars which test the skills of driver and team, in fierce wheel-to-wheel competition.
