AAA Hoosier Motor Club announced today that it has signed IndyCar driver Sarah Fisher to a 3-year contract; making her the official spokesperson for AAA Hoosier Insurance, effective immediately. “We’re extremely excited to have Sarah representing AAA Hoosier Insurance, †said Gary Michelson, AAA Hoosier Motor Club’s senior vice president for insurance and marketing. “As a driver, her track record speaks for itself but as a person, she exemplifies the characteristics that we cherish as an organization; honesty, integrity and a strong commitment to the community. The 26-year-old Fisher, who was awarded the 2001, 2002 and 2003 IndyCar Series “Most Popular Driver†award and the 2005 NASCAR West Regional Series “Most Popular Driver†award, joined Dreyer & Reinbold Racing earlier this year to compete in the IndyCar Series and Indianapolis 500. “I’m so excited AAA is coming on board as they have been a big advocate for the American driver and has deep ties to the Indy 500, †said Fisher, who tested at Homestead-Miami Speedway on February 21-22 during the IndyCar Series open test. “Not only do I drive to work but I drive at work and that means I’m always facing risks on the road. Fisher will represent AAA Hoosier Insurance through television ads, billboards and other promotional materials while touting the AAA tagline, “Insure with someone you Trust. †Additionally, Fisher will make a limited number of personal appearances on behalf of AAA Hoosier Motor Club. Fisher began her IndyCar career in 1999 at just 19 years old with Walker Racing. In 50 career starts, Fisher posted three top-fives, seven top-tens, became the first women to start from the pole position, has led 39 laps and is the fastest women to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 with a speed of 229.439.
