Brands Hatch: Jaguar F1 Car To Demo At Masters Festival This May Bank Holiday

For the first time in over 10 years, a contemporary Formula 1 car will take to the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit at the Masters Historic Festival this May Bank Holiday weekend (25/26 May).
The 2004 Jaguar R5 – driven in its heyday by Mark Webber and Christian Klien – will be performing demonstration laps at the Kent circuit during the lunchbreak on both Sunday and Monday.
The car is run by FV10 in partnership with engine specialists Cosworth, which gives amateur racing drivers a once in a lifetime chance to purchase and drive their own modern Formula 1 car. The Jaguar R5 will be driven by FV10 test driver and former British F3 champion Marc Hynes.
The Masters Historic Festival will also feature racing between legendary cars from the golden age of motorsport. Highlights include the World Sportscar Masters – backed by Lola to celebrate the British manufacturer’s golden anniversary – plus the Grand Prix Masters and Sports Racing Masters series.
As well as watching the vehicles in action, Brands Hatch is offering spectators the chance to experience motorsport nostalgia up close, as free paddock access to meet the drivers and see their cars is included with all tickets.
Other entertainment at the Masters Historic Festival this Bank Holiday includes car displays and parades, children’s go-karting and an auction of motorsport memorabilia from Coys of London.
