Danica Patrick the Actress? Driver to Appear on

Danica Patrick will begin her acting and stock car racing career all at the same time. CBS has announced that the female driver will appear on their crime investigation show “CSI: NY” on Feb. 13th as a competitor to a racer who dies in a suspicious explosion.

The show will revolve around a heavily-favored competitor of Patrick’s character, and is blown up in Manhattan while driving a car. Investigators believe there to be tampering with the car, which causes the explosion. USA Online Gambling News

The team says it will decide after Patrick makes her stock car debut in the Feb. 6 ARCA race at Daytona. If she feels comfortable, she could race the following week in NASCAR’s second-tier series. It would be a daunting NASCAR start considering more than a dozen Sprint Cup regulars, including team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr., drive in that one.  Auto Racing Daily
