Following the lead of Robert Yates Racing co-owner Doug Yates, the No. 90 CitiFinancial pit crew donated their portion of $1600 from the Checker’s/Rally Double Drive Thru award from the Busch Series event at Lowe’s Motor Speedway to the memorial fund honoring two fallen Charlotte-Mecklenburg police heroes.
The fund will assist in the re-building of two Charlotte-area parks, which will be dedicated as memorials to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Officers Jeff Shelton and Sean Clark, who lost their lives in the line of duty.
