Florence Brudenell-Bruce is on the fast track to fame: dumping her Formula One boyfriend, stripping off for Elizabeth Hurley and twirling in a Bollywood blockbuster.
With her golden curls and endless legs, it’s no wonder Florence, a descendant of the seventh Earl of Cardigan who led the Charge of the Light Brigade, was spotted by a model agent coming out of Topshop, when she was a teenager. On her parents’ insistence she didn’t model until her gap year.
She is planning to move to Notting Hill but for the moment she shares the family home in Southwest London with her wine merchant father, Andrew, and French mother, Sophie. Three years ago, in her final year of a history of art degree at Bristol University, she met Button and spent the next two years following him around the F1 circuit.

More recently, he has been stepping out with half-Japanese, half-Spanish lingerie model Jessica Michibata on his arm, and Florence was linked last autumn to Henry St George, son of the late multimillionaire financier Edward St George. But with her sights on acting, there’s hardly time for sizing up suitors. Jenson Button made light of an embarrassing burn on a delicate part of his body on his way to victory in Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix as he and his Brawn GP team basked in being the early-season pace-setters.
Button, 29, said he suffered a burn to the top of his left buttock due to an extremely hot electrical box that generated great heat in the ambient air temperature of 370C.
“It was really hot. All the boxes around my seat were burning. I burnt the top of my left buttock on an electrical box. It’s a little bit burnt. Hopefully we can solve that issue.”
“We’ve got a tough life, we racing drivers. We didn’t expect it to be this hot. But that’s a small price to pay because it’s a very special feeling to have won this race,” he added. Auto Racing Daily

There is no doubt that Florence did rub a few of the rougher edges off 28-year-old Jenson - she has a history of art degree from Bristol University and while on their F1 travels the couple spent more time in art galleries than nightclubs.
“The thing about our relationship was that we influenced each other in such good ways, ” she says with a pensive expression on her lovely, almost childlike face. (Even now, she is often asked to show ID when she goes into bars or pubs.)
Last year Flee was even credited - by Button’s Honda team - with being a “tactically astute” influence on the young British driver. Auto Racing Daily
