Sports car lovers looking for heaven on earth will find a big piece of it Friday at the 15th annual Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival.
Organizers say it’s the biggest event of its kind in the country, bringing together more than 500 vintage cars, another 500 vintage race cars and up to 20,000 spectators for a daylong free event in this Schuyler County village dubbed the home of American road racing.
“This is the one,” says Casey Creamer, who owns vintage cars, races them and will oversee over a half-dozen rallies, tours and shows, known as the Stone Bridge Drivers events, at Friday’s festival.
