“It’s Going To Be A Sweet Race.” – Logano

ROCKINGHAM, N.C.– The Joe Gibbs Racing test team spent all day on Wednesday April 16th at the Rockingham Speedway gathering information for all of their NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race teams. The Joe Gibbs Racing Test team used JGR developmental driver Joey Logano throughout the comprehensive test day.

Logano will return to Rockingham in just over two weeks to race in the ARCA RE/MAX Series Carolina 500 on May 4th. Logano was one of the fastest drivers during the open test for the Carolina 500.

“I am looking forward to racing here,” said Logano. “It is going to be a sweet race. There is going to be so much stuff going on with this race and the strategies that it is going to be really cool to be racing in it. I feel like we definitely have a fast car that will be capable of winning this thing.”

On track activities begin on Friday May 2nd with practice for the Carolina 500 and free admission to the grandstands. Savage Energy Pole Day is set for Saturday May 3rd with the first round of qualifying starting at 10:00 A.M. Tony Stewart will wave the green flag to start the Carolina 500 on Sunday May 4th at 12-noon.
