NASCAR racing, Budweiser beer, chin-up bars and unique honey-based wines.

They all mixed together Thursday at the Joliet Race Fan Rally.

The downtown Joliet event kicks off the Nextel Cup Series weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.

NASCAR fans and others just out for an evening of fun strolled down Chicago Street, met drivers and eyed an assortment of race cars.
